Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi is famous for his description and study of Flow: extreme concentration in and absorption by an activity, being ‘in the zone’.

being completely involved in an activity for its own sake. The ego falls away. Time flies. Every action, movement, and thought follows inevitably from the previous one, like playing jazz. Your whole being is involved, and you’re using your skills to the utmost (‘Go With The Flow’, Wired magazine, September 2009)

While it doesn’t make sense to look for this in all Practices, I would advocate trying to establish Practices which either directly lead to this kind of experience or which create the space for it.
